My name is Corina, I’m a Swiss architect living in Oslo, Norway, together with my partner Dag, also an architect, and our son Robin.
After travelling the Australian outback a few years ago, dreaming about a longer trip, then getting back to daily life, Dag and I had to figure out whether we’d dare to proceed and try to make our dream come true.
We decided to take the chance. Since then we’re regularly met with ‘I wish I could do that’. Our response is always ‘you can’ but usually a million excuses are returned. This blog is to answer that challenge.
It is never too late (or early) to live the life you want. We all have dreams, we often lose sight of, due to life and expectations taking up our headspace. I firmly believe in prioritising your goals and planning to make them happen, not being afraid to make difficult decisions. An approach I use for travelling and life.
Dag and I will be exploring Australia together with Robin, our nine-year-old son. The three of us have been to Australia twice before, but never as long as this time. It will be a fantastic opportunity for us as a small family to get to know each other better, get closer and live a life where we get the chance to define the rules more independently.
On this blog, I will share our adventure with your, tell about our experiences, highlights and challenges. And who knows – maybe you get inspired and start dreaming about or even planning a similar trip? You won’t regret it!
