…is the greatest joy! There is a lot of truth in this saying.
I am reading the Lonely Planet guide about Tasmania at the moment. That’s our first destination after Christmas in Sydney. Reading about places like Cape Grim (with the cleanest air in the world), Gardiner Point (Tasmania’s official Edge of the World: the sea stretches uninterrupted all the way to Argentina), The Western Explorer (Tasmania’s most remote road journey, dubbed ‘Road to Nowhere’) and Corinna (remote historic mining town), I get butterflies in my stomach!

I have been reading about all these small places which used to be much bigger when mining was booming. Historical buildings are being restored and museums tell about the past. And all this surrounded by rainforest, alpine peaks and beautiful beaches. I am fascinated about this wild, remote land and can’t wait to feel like the only soul on earth.

And we’re still counting: 270 days left…
